NVIDIA today announced it will start shipping its DGX Spark, the world’s smallest AI supercomputer. The system delivers up to 1 petaflop of performance and 128 GB of unified memory in a desktop‑sized form factor, allowing developers to run inference on models with up to 200 billion parameters and fine‑tune models up to 70 billion parameters locally. The DGX Spark is powered by NVIDIA’s GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip, ConnectX‑7 200 Gb/s networking, and NVLink‑C2C technology, providing five times the bandwidth of PCIe 5.0. The integrated NVIDIA AI software stack, including CUDA libraries and NIM microservices, is pre‑installed, enabling developers to start building and testing AI models out of the box. By shipping the DGX Spark, NVIDIA expands its AI platform into the developer and small‑to‑medium enterprise market, offering a high‑performance, on‑premises alternative to cloud AI services. The product’s compact footprint and powerful compute capabilities position NVIDIA to capture a new segment of the AI infrastructure market, potentially generating additional revenue and strengthening its ecosystem lock‑in.
