The agreement expands Harsco’s operations in Jajpur, Odisha, to process additional stainless‑steel slag from Jindal’s expanded facilities, extending the existing partnership by another 10 years and adding a wet‑milling plant to support the client’s growth.
The new wet‑milling plant will handle hot slag and recover metal, creating approximately 140 new jobs in the region. By securing this long‑term contract, Harsco Environmental strengthens its position in the stainless‑steel market and aligns with Enviri’s goal of doubling its Indian business by 2028.
