The Board of Directors of Northwest Natural Gas Company (NW Natural), the largest subsidiary of Northwest Natural Holding Company, has named Kim Rush as its next president, effective April 1, 2025. Rush, a longtime company executive, will assume full strategic, financial, and operational responsibilities for NW Natural.
Rush's career at NW Natural began in 1998, encompassing numerous leadership roles in communications, marketing, and operations, culminating in her appointment as senior vice president and chief operating officer in 2023. Her extensive knowledge of the gas utility and its critical role in the regional energy system is expected to ensure NW Natural's continued success.
This appointment coincides with Justin B. Palfreyman’s expected transition to CEO of NW Natural Holdings and NW Natural, succeeding the retiring David H. Anderson. The leadership transition aims to build on the company's core values and mission of safely and reliably delivering natural gas to its customers.
