Nextracker announced it has surpassed 10 gigawatts (GW) of solar tracker deployments in India, reinforcing its market leadership in the country's rapidly expanding solar sector. This milestone underscores the strong momentum in solar adoption within the region. In response to this growth, Nextracker is expanding its footprint with a new 80,000 square foot office and research and development (R&D) facility in Hyderabad. This hub integrates R&D, testing, and workforce development, featuring a 13-acre Center for Solar Excellence (CFSE) supported by a USD $1 million investment. The company added 1.8 GW of projects in India in the last quarter alone, including a 305 MW project with ReNew in Anantapur and 1.5 GW through partnerships with key engineering, procurement, and construction companies. Nextracker also noted that 95% of its tracker components used in India are manufactured domestically under the 'Make in India' initiative.
