Oklo Inc. announced on January 17, 2025, that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with RPower, a provider of onsite power solutions. This partnership aims to deploy a phased power model specifically for data centers.
The phased model is designed to address immediate energy needs by initially deploying RPower’s natural gas generators, which can be operational within approximately 24 months. This provides a bridge solution for data centers that local utilities cannot immediately serve.
Subsequently, Oklo’s Aurora powerhouses will be integrated into these sites as they become commercially available, providing emissions-free energy. Over time, the Aurora powerhouses are expected to supply the majority of the energy, with RPower’s generators transitioning to backup and resilience roles. Oklo's customer pipeline stands at 14 gigawatts.
