Oklo Inc. announced a 20‑year power purchase agreement with Meta Platforms to supply electricity for Meta’s 1.2‑gigawatt nuclear campus in Pike County, Ohio. The contract will provide a steady, long‑term revenue stream for Oklo’s Aurora fast‑reactor technology and confirms the company’s position as a preferred partner for large‑scale AI infrastructure.
The agreement is part of Meta’s broader strategy to secure reliable, low‑carbon power for its expanding AI operations. Under the contract, Oklo will deliver power to Meta’s new campus, which is slated to begin operations around 2030 and reach full capacity by 2034. The partnership includes a prepayment component that will fund early procurement and development activities for Oklo’s first Aurora powerhouse, and Oklo has secured 206 acres in Pike County to host the facility.
Oklo’s CEO Jacob DeWitte said the deal “is a major commercial validation of our Aurora platform and a critical step in moving advanced nuclear forward.” Meta’s head of global energy, Urvi Parekh, added that the project “will support Meta’s AI supercluster in New Albany, create jobs, and advance American leadership in clean energy.”
The deal is expected to accelerate Oklo’s regulatory path and provide the capital needed to scale the Aurora project. With Meta’s long‑term commitment, Oklo can move more quickly through site characterization, permitting, and construction, while the prepayment helps cover early‑stage costs that would otherwise require external financing.
The announcement is a key milestone for both companies. For Oklo, it represents a tangible, multi‑year revenue stream that reduces financial risk and signals investor confidence in advanced nuclear technology. For Meta, it secures a reliable, low‑carbon power source that supports its AI data‑center expansion and aligns with its sustainability goals. The partnership also highlights the growing demand for clean power from AI workloads and the increasing role of nuclear energy in meeting that demand.
