September 21, 2025
On April 9, 2025, Okta announced new Okta Platform capabilities designed to secure AI agents and other non-human identities with the same level of visibility, control, governance, and automation as human ones. This extends a unified, end-to-end identity security fabric across an organization's entire ecosystem. New capabilities for Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM) and Okta Privileged Access (OPA) provide comprehensive protection for non-human identities, including service accounts, API keys, and automation tools. These tools continuously monitor risks and vulnerabilities, ensuring AI-driven automation adheres to Zero Trust policies. Additionally, Separation of Duties (SoD) in Okta Identity Governance (OIG) is now available in GA preview, preventing users from accumulating conflicting access permissions. Secure Device Features under Okta Device Access and Adaptive MFA are also in Early Access, minimizing MFA fatigue and credential theft risks by integrating device context and hardware protection.
