OMS Energy Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: OMSE) announced that its wholly‑owned subsidiary, OMS Oilfield Services Arabia Ltd., has earned the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) Specification 6A certification on January 15 2026. The certification validates the subsidiary’s repair and maintenance processes for high‑pressure wellhead and Christmas tree equipment, a rigorous industry standard that many Middle Eastern producers require when selecting suppliers.

The API Spec 6A award expands OMS Saudi’s ability to win high‑value contracts beyond its existing 10‑year supply agreement with Saudi Aramco. By meeting this prerequisite, the company can now bid for projects across six key jurisdictions in the Gulf, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait. The certification also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s “Made in KSA” initiative, which prioritizes local production and gives preferential treatment to domestic‑manufactured equipment. OMS’s existing portfolio of API Q1, 5CT, 5L, and 7‑1 certifications now forms a comprehensive suite that positions the subsidiary as a premier, fully certified provider of wellhead services in the region.

Financially, OMS Energy reported fiscal‑year 2025 revenue of $203.6 million, up from $179.4 million in FY 2024, and a gross margin of 33.9 percent. The certification is expected to broaden the company’s revenue base, reducing concentration risk and supporting continued margin expansion. OMS’s largest revenue segment—specialty connectors and pipes—has driven much of the growth, while the wellhead services segment is poised to capture a larger share of the Middle East market now that the 6A certification removes a key barrier to entry.

CEO How Meng Hock said the certification “is a testament to the team’s strong technical capabilities and disciplined operational standards.” He added that the milestone “reinforces OMS Saudi’s ability to secure high‑value contracts and expand its suite of engineered wellhead solutions in a key strategic market.” The company’s management views the certification as a catalyst for future growth, particularly in regions where API compliance is a contractual requirement.

The certification marks a significant operational achievement that enhances OMS Energy’s competitive positioning in the Middle East, supports local production initiatives, and opens new revenue opportunities beyond its current concentration in Saudi Aramco. With the 6A certification in place, OMS Saudi is better positioned to capture high‑value contracts across the Gulf, potentially accelerating the company’s growth trajectory and sustaining its strong gross and operating margins.
