Ooma, Inc. announced that its subsidiary, 2600Hz, has launched new desktop and mobile applications for its unified communications platform. These new DesktopComm and MobileComm apps provide service providers with a competitive advantage by offering a robust feature set without requiring them to build or maintain the applications themselves. The apps allow users to make and receive calls, manage contacts, access voicemail, and participate in video conferences.

The 2600Hz platform integrates UCaaS, CCaaS, and CPaaS on a single code base, offering over 300 open APIs for customization. The new DesktopComm app is available for Windows and Mac, while MobileComm is available for iOS and Android. This development strengthens 2600Hz's appeal to resellers and service providers, enabling them to offer differentiated communication solutions.

This initiative is part of Ooma's strategy to integrate its own intellectual property and turnkey applications onto the 2600Hz platform, aiming to offer both highly customizable and ready-to-deploy solutions. The new apps are expected to broaden 2600Hz's market reach and drive higher engagement among its user base.
