PacBio announced on October 8, 2025 that it has expanded its partnership with seqWell, a global provider of genomic library and multiplexing solutions. The new agreement adds seqWell’s LongPlex™ Multiplexing Kit to PacBio’s portfolio, a scalable, tagmentation‑based kit designed for use with PacBio HiFi sequencing and optimized for efficient DNA fragmentation and indexing of up to hundreds of samples in a single run.
The LongPlex kit removes sample‑prep bottlenecks, enabling researchers to produce high‑quality libraries quickly and cost‑efficiently, and to power the next wave of population‑scale research. “Expanding our partnership with seqWell is part of our commitment to meet researchers where they are with the flexibility, speed, and accuracy they need,” said David Miller, Vice President of Global Marketing at PacBio. The kit is available today, with global availability slated for 2026.
By adding the LongPlex kit, PacBio expands its workflow options and complements its existing HiFi sequencing workflows, offering customers greater flexibility for high‑throughput applications. Organizations such as Veil Genomics are already demonstrating the kit’s value for population‑scale efforts, underscoring the potential for broader adoption and increased consumable revenue in the coming years.
