UiPath has joined the Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company’s AIUC‑1 framework as a founding technical contributor, embedding its agentic automation platform into a new, auditable governance model designed to secure AI agents in mission‑critical enterprise workflows.

AIUC‑1 pulls together the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, the EU AI Act, and ISO 42001, and adds independent third‑party audits and adversarial testing. Schellman, the auditor for UiPath’s AIUC‑1 audit, also oversees its ISO 42001:2023 certification, ensuring consistent validation of security and compliance controls across the framework.

UiPath’s contribution focuses on integrating its Orchestrator and compliance modules into the framework’s agent‑specific governance layer. The platform will provide real‑time risk scoring, automated prompt‑injection detection, and a sandboxed execution environment that meets the framework’s safety and reliability requirements. This technical embedding allows enterprises to deploy UiPath agents with built‑in safeguards against jailbreaks, hallucinations, and data leaks.

The partnership positions UiPath as a leader in AI security, reinforcing its “Switzerland of business applications” narrative. By offering a vendor‑agnostic architecture that protects sensitive data across ERP, CRM, and financial systems, UiPath can accelerate adoption in highly regulated sectors such as finance and healthcare, where trust in AI governance is paramount.

Scott Roberts, UiPath’s CISO, said, “We are proud to shape the industry‑leading AI agent standard. Our more than 10,000 global customers rely on our platform to agentify and orchestrate highly sensitive workflows, and this partnership gives them confidence that we meet the highest global security, safety, and reliability standards.”

The move differentiates UiPath from competitors that lack a formal, standards‑aligned governance framework. By embedding its platform into AIUC‑1, UiPath can offer customers a turnkey, auditable solution that meets NIST, EU, and ISO requirements, potentially giving it a competitive edge in the growing AI security market.
