Paychex announced on November 19, 2025 that it is adding a new AI‑driven feature called Participant Event Notifications to its Flex Advisor Console. The tool automatically surfaces real‑time alerts when plan participants reach key milestones—such as work anniversaries, birthdays, or major life events—so advisors can engage clients at the most opportune moments.

The notifications are generated from payroll and plan‑level data and are delivered directly within the advisor console, eliminating the need for manual tracking. By providing actionable insights at the point of contact, the feature is designed to help advisors tailor communications, recommend plan adjustments, and ultimately improve participant outcomes and advisor productivity.

Paychex’s launch fits into a broader AI strategy that has already seen the company introduce talent‑acquisition and employee‑engagement solutions in the first quarter of fiscal 2026. The company’s recent acquisition of Paycor HCM in April 2025 has expanded its payroll data footprint, giving it a richer data set to power these AI insights. In a competitive HCM market that includes ADP and Charles Schwab, Paychex’s focus on leveraging payroll data for advisory tools is a distinct differentiator.

Financially, Paychex reported that its first quarter of fiscal 2026 ended August 31, 2025, revenue rose 17% to $1.54 billion and adjusted diluted EPS increased 5% to $1.22. GAAP diluted EPS fell 10% to $1.06 due to acquisition‑related costs, but the company maintained a 40.9% operating margin. Paychex also declared a quarterly dividend of $1.08 per share, payable November 26, 2025, underscoring its commitment to shareholder returns.

Scott Buffington, vice president and general manager of Paychex’s retirement business, said the new notifications “are offered at no additional charge and are part of our mission to give advisors the tools they need to provide proactive, personalized support to participants.” He added that the feature will help advisors deepen relationships with the 124,000 plans that Paychex records for.

The introduction of Participant Event Notifications is expected to generate incremental revenue and strengthen Paychex’s channel partner relationships. By embedding AI insights directly into the advisor workflow, the company aims to increase advisor engagement and client satisfaction without imposing extra costs on its partners.
