The T880S Performance Hood is the first T880 model to offer compatibility with the Cummins X15 engine, rated up to 605 hp and 2,050 lb.-ft. of torque, specifically for high-Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) applications. Its cooling module has been expanded to 1,440 square inches to optimize cooling efficiency for demanding operating environments.
This product enhancement is designed for heavy haul, logging, and other vocational applications, providing customers with more powertrain options and improved performance. The T880S is standard with PACCAR's MX-13 engine, and this new hood option further solidifies Kenworth's position in specialized truck segments.
