Vinland Lithium Inc. announced on June 18, 2025, the commencement of its summer exploration program on the Killick Lithium Project. Piedmont Lithium is involved in a joint venture related to this project, which is located in southwestern Newfoundland.
The program is designed to follow up on previous identifications of mineralized pegmatite rock units and is being conducted in conjunction with the Critical Minerals Research Initiative. This initiative has approved $1.3 million over four years for detailed research on the project.
During the 2024 summer field season, the joint venture between Benton, Sokoman, and Piedmont completed an airborne geophysical survey and field geochemical surveys on the project. This continued exploration aims to enhance understanding of the lithium potential in the area.
