Palantir forecasts 2025 revenue above estimates on AI strength, shares surge

Palantir Technologies reported stronger-than-expected fourth-quarter 2024 results, with adjusted earnings of 14 cents per share, surpassing the 11-cent estimate. Revenue reached $828 million, exceeding the $776 million expected by analysts. The company provided an optimistic outlook for the first quarter of 2025, forecasting revenue between $858 million and $862 million, well above the LSEG estimate of $799 million. For the full year 2025, Palantir projects sales of $3.74 billion to $3.76 billion, topping the $3.52 billion average estimate. Growth was particularly strong in the U.S. commercial segment, which saw a 64% year-over-year increase to $214 million, and the U.S. government revenue, which rose 45% year-over-year to $343 million. Palantir expects U.S. commercial sales to grow at least 54% to about $1.08 billion in 2025, driven by demand for its AI platform.
