Plug Power Inc. announced a significant expansion of its partnership with Allied Green Ammonia (AGA), securing a new 2 gigawatt (GW) electrolyzer opportunity for a sustainable fuels project in Uzbekistan. This deal will be executed during the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
Plug’s electrolyzer technology has been selected as the foundation for a new $5.5 billion green chemical production facility in Uzbekistan, which will produce sustainable aviation fuel, green urea, and green diesel. This project is backed by the Government of Uzbekistan.
This new agreement brings the total partnership between Plug and AGA to 5 GW globally, building on the previously announced 3 GW electrolyzer commitment for AGA's green ammonia facility in Australia. This expansion reinforces Plug’s position as a preferred electrolyzer provider for global-scale decarbonization initiatives across multiple continents and applications.
