Primech AI, a subsidiary of Primech Holdings Ltd., announced a new manufacturing partnership in Thailand that will enable the company to increase output of its flagship HYTRON autonomous cleaning robot. The agreement, which will begin with an initial production run of 300 units over a two‑year period, is designed to reduce lead times, lower production costs, and strengthen supply‑chain resilience for the Southeast Asian market.

The partnership leverages a local robotics manufacturer’s advanced electronics capabilities and Thailand’s strategic geographic position, allowing Primech to tap into a skilled workforce and favorable trade agreements. By bringing production closer to key customers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and the broader region, Primech can accelerate deployment of HYTRON units and better respond to growing demand for hygiene‑focused service robots.

Primech’s FY 2025 financials provide context for the expansion: revenue rose to $74.3 million, a 2.5% increase from the prior year, while the company’s gross profit margin expanded to 23.6%—the largest margin gain in five years—thanks to technology adoption and grant support that offset wage pressures. Net loss narrowed to $2.2 million, and a $120.8 million backlog signals strong future revenue visibility.

Charles Ng, COO of Primech AI, emphasized that Thailand’s manufacturing ecosystem offers “strong electronics manufacturing capabilities, strategic geographic positioning, and favorable trade agreements” that will help the company scale efficiently. Chairman and CEO Ken Ho noted that the success of HYTRON at CMS Berlin validated the robot’s commercial appeal and marked the beginning of its global rollout.

The partnership aligns with Primech’s broader strategy to capture a larger share of the growing global service‑robotics market and to compete more effectively against larger facilities‑management players. With mass production targeted for Q1 2026, the move positions Primech to deliver HYTRON units faster and at lower cost, reinforcing its competitive advantage in a rapidly expanding market.
