Pony AI Inc. unveiled its seventh-generation autonomous driving system and its new Robotaxi lineup at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition on April 23, 2025. The Gen-7 system features a 100% automotive-grade autonomous driving kit (ADK) designed for enhanced stability and safety, marking a pivotal step towards mass commercialization.

A key highlight of the Gen-7 system is a 70% reduction in total Bill of Materials (BOM) costs compared to its predecessor, including an 80% decrease in autonomous driving computation and a 68% cut in solid-state LiDAR costs. This cost efficiency is crucial for achieving scalable and profitable autonomous mobility.

The new lineup includes three Gen-7 Robotaxi models developed through strategic partnerships: the Toyota bZ4X Robotaxi, the BAIC ARCFOX Alpha T5, and the GAC second-generation Aion V. Pony AI aims to begin mass production of these vehicles from mid-2025, positioning 2025 as its inaugural year for mass-produced Robotaxis.
