The Argyle Purple color is featured on BYD's Yangwang U9 electric super coupe, the fastest Chinese production car. This marks the first time this optical effect has been applied to automotive coatings on a mass scale, demonstrating the successful integration of optical technology with PPG's advanced AQUACRON® PWB premium waterborne basecoat coating.
The award, chosen from 3,000 competing designs, highlights PPG's dedication to advancing vehicle design and manufacturing through continuous technological innovation.
