PPG announced the launch of PPG ENVIROLUXE™ Plus powder coatings, a new product line that incorporates up to 18% post-industrial recycled plastic (rPET) and is made without PFAS. This offering combines performance and aesthetics with significant sustainability benefits.
These new powder coatings achieve up to a 30% reduction in carbon footprint compared to standard durable powders, primarily due to the elimination of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fluoropolymer and the use of rPET. They also offer other sustainability advantages inherent to powder coatings, such as excellent transfer efficiency and reclaimable overspray, which minimizes waste and results in low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
PPG EnviroLuxe Plus is part of the broader PPG EnviroLuxe powder coating family, designed to meet diverse application needs for products like metal office furniture, outdoor fencing, and shelving systems.
