PPG announced it has joined Make it Zero, a global initiative by the European DIY Retailers Association and the Global Home Improvement Network, aimed at reducing Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions within the DIY home improvement sector. PPG's Architectural Coatings business in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand has become a signatory to the initiative's decarbonization targets.

As part of the initiative's task force, PPG is contributing to the development of clear and consistent methodologies for collecting and measuring carbon data, sharing best practices in reporting, and accelerating progress to reduce Scope 3 emissions. This collaboration across the value chain is crucial for lowering the industry's carbon footprint.

This initiative aligns with PPG's 2030 sustainability targets, which include Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reduction goals validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). By participating, PPG supports its customers' sustainability ambitions, accelerates a lower carbon portfolio of paints and coatings, and strengthens customer intimacy.
