PPG announced the renewal of its partnership with the STEM Talent Girl program, an educational initiative by the ASTI Foundation in Spain. This program empowers young women to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
PPG has supported the program for over five years, which is now expanding its reach to more cities and aims to engage over 1,000 students annually. The initiative addresses the underrepresentation of women in STEM fields by fostering early interest and connecting participants with accomplished female mentors.
The program's three-stage framework—Science for Her, Mentor Women, and Real Work—supports academic and personal development, bridging the gap from secondary school to university and the workforce. PPG employees, particularly women, participate as mentors, sharing their experiences in STEM careers and contributing to the program's growth.
