Pioneer Power Solutions announced the launch of PRYMUS on December 9 2025. The new platform builds on the company’s e‑Boost technology and delivers pre‑engineered energy blocks ranging from 1 MW to 10 MW. PRYMUS can be operational at a site in roughly six months, a dramatic reduction from the two‑to‑three‑year timelines typical of utility‑grade upgrades.

PRYMUS is designed to power high‑density AI workloads and modular data centers, targeting a market that could reach $164 billion by 2035 for modular data centers and $203.58 billion for the broader AI data‑center market. The platform combines mobile natural‑gas generators with mobile battery energy storage to manage power spikes and can be reconfigured into permanent microgrids once utility power is available. This capability positions Pioneer beyond its core EV‑charging niche into a broader distributed‑energy‑resource market that includes healthcare, finance, government, industrial automation, and telecommunications.

Financially, Pioneer reported Q3 2025 revenue of $6.9 million, up 7.4% year‑over‑year, driven by strong demand in its core EV‑charging and emerging PRYMUS segments. However, gross margin contracted to 9.3% from 23.7% in Q3 2024, largely due to an unfavorable sales mix that shifted revenue toward lower‑margin services. Operating loss widened to $(1.4) million from $(714,000) in the prior quarter, reflecting investments in PRYMUS development and marketing. Cash on hand fell to $17.3 million from $41.6 million at the end of 2024, partly because of a special cash dividend paid to shareholders.

CEO Nathan Mazurek emphasized that PRYMUS is “not just selling power; it is providing adaptable energy resiliency that puts power where it’s needed in months, not years, directly fueling the next phase of America’s technological growth.” He added that the platform diversifies Pioneer’s revenue streams and mitigates risk from a potential slowdown in the EV‑charging market. Management reaffirmed full‑year 2025 revenue guidance of $27 million to $29 million, representing roughly 20% year‑over‑year growth, and expects PRYMUS to contribute to revenue starting in 2026.

The launch comes amid a competitive landscape where major cloud and technology firms—Microsoft, Google, and Amazon—are expanding their AI data‑center footprints. PRYMUS offers a faster, modular alternative that can be deployed in months, giving Pioneer a potential first‑mover advantage in the high‑growth AI and data‑center power market. The company’s focus on mobile, scalable power solutions aligns with industry trends toward rapid deployment and energy resilience, positioning Pioneer to capture a share of the projected multi‑hundred‑billion‑dollar market by 2035.
