Progress Software announced a major expansion of its AI-powered developer capabilities in the Q3 2025 release of its Telerik and Kendo UI toolsets. AI Coding Assistants, previously debuted for Blazor and React, are now extended across all major UI component libraries, including ASP.NET Core, WPF, WinForms, .NET MAUI, and Angular.
For the first time, AI Coding Assistants are also available for Telerik Reporting and Progress Document Processing. These assistants are deeply integrated into popular AI coding solutions like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor, providing specialized, context-aware code that understands the intricacies of Progress's components.
Early adopters of these AI Coding Assistants have reported productivity boosts of up to 30% on top of what generic AI-powered IDEs already provide. This enhancement enables developers to automate more tasks, generate and configure components, and resolve component-specific issues, accelerating the delivery of sophisticated user interfaces without compromising quality.
Additionally, Progress is introducing new capabilities in its ThemeBuilder visual styling tool, allowing users to create and customize themes using conversational prompts. This innovation further streamlines the development process by saving time typically spent on manual editing and CSS configuration.
