Parsons Corporation announced on December 9, 2024, that it was awarded a $53 million, three-year contract by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) in Saudi Arabia. Under this agreement, Parsons will provide program management office (PMO) services for the RCRC's Main and Ring Roads Program. This contract highlights Parsons' continued partnership with RCRC, a client for over a decade.
As the PMO, Parsons will oversee the overall management and control of construction activities for approximately 500 km of new and improved road corridor works. Key objectives of the program include facilitating smooth mobility of people and vehicles within Riyadh and tackling congestion. The program also aims to meet the requirements associated with Riyadh's growth plans, including hosting global events such as the Expo 2030 and FIFA World Cup 2034.
Upon completion, the new road network is expected to reduce hours lost in traffic, leading to improved average trip durations and enhanced connectivity across the city. Parsons has been a trusted partner in delivering critical infrastructure in the Middle East for over 65 years, with more than 50 active projects in Saudi Arabia, supporting the country's Vision 2030 programs.
