MPA Delivery Partners, the joint venture of Mace, Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN), and Arcadis (EURONEXT: ARCAD), announced today that it has been awarded a $665 million, 4.5‑year contract extension by the Gateway Development Commission (GDC) to continue managing the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). The extension guarantees Parsons a steady stream of revenue for the next four and a half years as the project progresses toward completion. The Hudson Tunnel Project is a cornerstone of the Gateway Program, involving the construction of a new two‑tube rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River, rehabilitation of the existing 115‑year‑old tunnel, and the addition of nine miles of new passenger rail track between New York and New Jersey. The project is on schedule, with the new tunnel slated for completion in 2035 and the existing tunnel’s rehabilitation by 2038. The contract extension is expected to create more than 95,000 jobs across the United States and generate over $19 billion in economic activity. It will also drive demand for U.S. suppliers of steel, aggregates, rail and track, and ventilation systems, further amplifying the project’s economic impact. For Parsons, the $665 million extension solidifies its role as a key delivery partner in a high‑profile infrastructure initiative. The long‑term revenue stream and the project’s alignment with Parsons’ strategic focus on technology‑enabled critical infrastructure solutions reinforce the company’s competitive position and support its growth trajectory.
