Parsons Leads PFAS Groundwater Treatment at Burlington Air National Guard Installation

Parsons Corporation announced on October 3, 2024, its selection by the National Guard Bureau to manage the operation and maintenance of a per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) groundwater treatment system. This new two-year task order is for the Burlington Air National Guard Base in Vermont. The contract represents new work for the company, expanding its environmental services portfolio. As part of the agreement, Parsons will work to optimize the existing granular activated carbon treatment system. This optimization will be conducted utilizing the company’s Water Treatability Lab located in Syracuse, New York. PFAS is recognized as one of the most significant and widespread environmental issues impacting communities globally. Parsons is a global leader in water and wastewater treatment, with a team of PFAS experts specializing in hydrogeology, risk assessment, remediation, and modeling.
