Parsons Corporation announced a new $88 million single‑award task order to support the U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa Air Base Air Defense (ABAD) mission at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. The three‑year order will cover hardware procurement, system integration, operator training, technical support, and ongoing maintenance for the ABAD program.

The award brings Parsons’ total value under the ABAD contract to $192 million for 2025, adding a new revenue stream that represents roughly 1.4 % of the company’s 2024 revenue of $6.75 billion. The contract is part of a broader $953 million, 10‑year IDIQ that Parsons secured in 2021, and it reinforces the firm’s position as a trusted partner for U.S. military air base security in a strategically critical region.

Parsons’ Q3 2025 financial results showed revenue of $1.6 billion, a 10 % year‑over‑year decline, and net income of $64 million, down $8 million from the prior year. In contrast, Q4 2024 revenue rose 16 % to $1.7 billion and net income increased to $54 million. Segment data reveal that the Federal Solutions division generated a 19 % revenue increase in Q4 2024 but fell 29 % in Q3 2025, while the Critical Infrastructure division grew 12 % in Q4 2024 and 18 % in Q3 2025. The new task order is expected to strengthen the backlog and provide additional revenue visibility in the defense segment.

The contract win comes amid a broader portfolio of defense contracts, including a $3.5 billion DTRA CTRIC IV award to counter weapons of mass destruction. At the same time, Parsons recently lost a multi‑billion‑dollar bid to overhaul the federal air traffic control system, a loss that had a negative impact on investor sentiment earlier in December. The new ABAD order therefore represents a positive development for the company’s defense business while highlighting the volatility of large federal contracts.

Mike Kushin, president of Parsons’ Defense and Intelligence division, said the award "strengthens our partnership with USAFE‑AFAFRICA and expands our capabilities in air base security. The three‑year contract will enhance operational readiness at Ramstein and support the U.S. mission in Europe and Africa."
