Phillips 66 announced a partnership with NextEra Energy Resources, LLC to construct a new 30.2 MW solar facility. This facility will power Phillips 66’s Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex in northern California, marking a step in its lower-carbon future initiatives. The solar facility, located adjacent to the Rodeo complex on approximately 88 acres of Phillips 66-owned land, is scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of 2025. It will feature over 70,000 solar modules, designed to reduce Rodeo's grid power demand by half. This project is expected to avoid 33,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, generating enough electricity to power more than 23,000 electric vehicles per year. NextEra Energy Resources will own and operate the facility, contributing to the operational efficiency and environmental performance of the Rodeo complex.
