The Grain Belt Express is an 800-mile high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line spanning Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. It is designed to add 5,000 megawatts of U.S. energy delivery capacity and is expected to generate $52 billion in energy cost savings over 15 years.
Phase 1 of the project, connecting Kansas and Missouri, is targeting commencement of construction in 2026 and is estimated to create over 4,000 jobs. This contract underscores Quanta's capability to execute large, complex projects vital for grid modernization and security.
