Qorvo announced the launch of its QPF5100Q Ultra-Wideband (UWB) System-on-Chip (SoC), which is now automotive-qualified and being sampled by key customers. This new SoC is designed to meet the automotive industry's demand for highly accurate and reliable UWB technology.
The QPF5100Q supports critical automotive applications such as secure keyless entry, Digital Key functionalities, and UWB radar for child presence detection and motion sensing. It offers advanced UWB functionality with configurable software, allowing automotive designers to customize features for enhanced performance.
Leveraging over a decade of Qorvo's UWB innovation, the SoC is built to strict automotive standards and is currently undergoing Design Verification Testing with leading automotive manufacturers. Volume production for the QPF5100Q is planned for later in 2025, marking a significant step in Qorvo's automotive UWB solutions roadmap.
