Red Cat Holdings, Inc. announced it secured $1.6 million in contracts for its Edge 130 Blue drones from the U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP). The contract was facilitated through Darley, a distributor for first responders and the military, and coordinated by the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
The Edge 130 Blue is a UAS-certified military-grade tricopter designed for long-range mapping, inspection, surveillance, and reconnaissance. It can be assembled and hand-launched in one minute and boasts a 60+ minute flight time in forward mode, an industry-leading endurance among Blue UAS-approved drones.
This contract is significant as it expands Red Cat's relationship with the U.S. Customs & Border Protection, an agency already utilizing the company's Teal 2 drones. It validates the demand for the Edge 130 Blue and positions Red Cat to scale production for this new platform.
