Taylor Swift fans attending her concert in Vancouver utilized over 11 terabytes (TB) of mobile data on the Rogers 5G network in just a few hours, setting a new Canadian record. This data usage occurred at BC Place during the final concert of The Eras Tour, surpassing the previous record of 7.4 TB set at a Taylor Swift concert at Rogers Centre in Toronto on November 21.

Rogers invested C$10 million to enhance 5G connectivity at BC Place prior to the concert series, including a full network redesign and installation of a new in-stadium network system. These upgrades increased 5G network capacity by 38 times throughout the stadium, equivalent to the coverage provided by 20 towers in Vancouver.

The record data consumption, which included uploading 307,000 photos and 2,180 hours of video streaming, demonstrates the enhanced capabilities and reliability of Rogers' 5G network. This operational achievement reinforces the value of the company's network investments and its ability to support high-demand events.
