On December 10, 2024, LexisNexis® Risk Solutions, a part of RELX, announced a definitive agreement to acquire IDVerse™, a provider of AI-powered automated document authentication and fraud detection solutions. IDVerse will be integrated into LexisNexis Risk Solutions' Business Services segment.
The acquisition is set to expand LexisNexis Risk Solutions' capabilities in risk and fraud solutions, enhancing digital identity onboarding and identity verification through IDVerse's advanced AI-powered technology. IDVerse's proprietary deep neural network verifies over 16,000 types of identity documents globally and combats deepfakes.
Rick Trainor, CEO of Business Services for LexisNexis Risk Solutions, stated that AI-powered solutions are essential to counter AI-generated fraud attacks. The integration of IDVerse's complementary technology will enhance the ability to provide critical risk insights to clients globally. The transaction is expected to close in early 2025, with terms undisclosed.
