REV Group announced a $2.6 million investment to acquire a 20,000‑square‑foot building adjacent to its existing Grove City, Ohio plant. The new space will be dedicated to final‑assembly and delivery operations for Horton Emergency Vehicles, a flagship brand in the company’s Specialty Vehicles segment.

The expansion follows a strong Q3 2025 earnings period in which the Specialty Vehicles segment generated net sales of $483.3 million, up 11.8% year‑over‑year, and adjusted EBITDA of $64.6 million, a significant jump from $44.3 million in Q3 2024. The segment’s backlog reached $4.282 billion, reflecting sustained demand for ambulances and other emergency vehicles.

By freeing up space in the current assembly line and adding dedicated delivery and parking areas, the new facility is expected to cut delivery lead times and improve the customer experience. Mike Albers, vice‑president and general manager of Horton Emergency Vehicles, said the expansion “allows us to provide additional space for our employees to manufacture and deliver our high‑quality Horton ambulances to our dealers and customers quicker, which helps to protect their people and communities.”

The move aligns with REV Group’s broader focus on operational excellence and throughput improvements, mirroring the August 2025 expansion of its Spartan Emergency Response facility in South Dakota. It also positions the company to support higher volumes ahead of the announced merger with Terex, which could further scale production and distribution capabilities.

While the announcement itself did not trigger an immediate market reaction, analysts have highlighted the expansion as a positive signal of growth and operational efficiency. REV Group’s stock had previously risen 22.4% following its Q3 2025 earnings, driven by strong specialty‑vehicle performance and a robust backlog.

The new facility is slated to become operational in early 2026, adding capacity to meet the growing demand for Horton ambulances and reinforcing REV Group’s leadership in the emergency‑vehicle market.
