RE/MAX Holdings announced the conversion of Royal LePage Your Community Realty and Royal LePage Connect Realty to RE/MAX affiliates, adding 17 offices, more than 1,200 agents, and $3 billion in combined brokerage sales volume to the global network.

The move strengthens RE/MAX’s foothold in the Greater Toronto Area, the largest real‑estate market in Canada, and represents the company’s largest conversion to date. By bringing two high‑performing brokerages under its brand, RE/MAX expands its agent count and transaction volume in a key growth region, reinforcing its strategy of scaling through independent brokerages.

Agents from the converted brokerages will gain access to RE/MAX’s global marketing platform, AI‑powered tools, and brand recognition. The Risi family cited the need for international reach, innovative technology, and expanded services as primary reasons for the switch, underscoring the value proposition that RE/MAX offers to its franchisees.

CEO Erik Carlson welcomed the new affiliates, noting that the addition “reinforces our current strategic direction and expands our presence in a critical market.” Vivian Risi, founder of the two brokerages, added that the partnership will “position our agents to win in any market” by leveraging RE/MAX’s global network and technology.

The conversion is expected to increase RE/MAX’s franchise fee and broker‑fee revenue streams while supporting its broader growth objectives in international markets. The addition of $3 billion in sales volume and a large agent base positions RE/MAX to capture a larger share of the Canadian market and to leverage economies of scale in marketing and technology investments.
