RTX’s Collins Aerospace announced the construction of a new military avionics service center in Rotterdam, Netherlands, a facility that will provide repair expertise and depot technology for the Dutch F‑35 fighter jets and CH‑47F Chinook helicopters. The center will also manage the repair supply chain as part of Collins’ global military services network and is expected to become operational in 2026.

The Rotterdam facility will complement Collins’ existing F‑35 Pilot Readiness Center in Soesterberg, creating a full regional lifecycle sustainment solution for European customers. By co‑locating depot support with pilot readiness, the company can reduce turnaround times, lower logistics costs, and improve operational readiness for the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force.

Collins Aerospace’s expansion aligns with RTX’s broader European strategy, which includes a government‑owned, contractor‑operated (GOCO) partnership model that provides a stable, long‑term revenue stream. The new center will be integrated with the company’s European Innovation Hub in Houten, further strengthening its footprint in the region and supporting the growing demand for localized sustainment of advanced NATO platforms.

RTX reported Q3 2025 sales of $22.5 billion, up 12% year‑over‑year, and an adjusted EPS of $1.70, while Collins Aerospace posted sales of $7.621 billion, up 8% year‑over‑year, with an operating margin of 16.5%. The company’s strong financial performance underpins its ability to invest in strategic assets like the Rotterdam center, reinforcing confidence in continued growth and margin expansion.

The new service center enhances the Dutch air and space forces’ logistical efficiency and sustainment capabilities, positioning RTX as a key supplier of advanced avionics support in Europe. The investment reflects the company’s commitment to expanding its global military services network and capitalizing on the demand for localized, high‑quality maintenance for critical defense platforms.
