RTX’s Raytheon UK has secured a contract to provide orbital analysts for the UK Space Agency’s Space Domain Awareness mission. The contract will place analysts at RAF High Wycombe to operate the NORSSTrack software, which tracks satellites and monitors debris.

The award expands RTX’s presence in the space domain awareness market, which is projected to grow to $10.5 billion by 2030. RTX’s NORSSTrack platform has been used by the UK and other governments for collision avoidance and space traffic management.

The contract is part of the UK Space Agency’s broader investment in space domain awareness, which includes recent awards to other firms such as Slingshot Aerospace. The partnership underscores the importance of public‑private collaboration for national security and commercial space operations.

RTX reported revenue of $80 billion in 2024, and its Raytheon business unit has been active in space domain awareness since 2017. The new contract is expected to contribute to continued growth in the unit’s space sector revenue stream.

The contract demonstrates RTX’s ability to deliver advanced space situational awareness solutions and supports the UK’s sovereign space capabilities.
