Tudor Gold Challenges Seabridge's KSM Project Tunnel Land Use Rights

Seabridge Gold Inc. announced on July 14, 2025, that Tudor Gold Corp. has filed a Notice of Appeal in the British Columbia Supreme Court. The appeal challenges a decision by the Chief Gold Commissioner (CGC) that rejected Tudor's application to rescind the legal mechanism prioritizing Seabridge's rights to use land for the KSM Project's Mitchell Treaty Tunnels (MTT).

The MTT are critical infrastructure for the KSM Project, and their route passes through Tudor's claims. Seabridge's Conditional Mineral Reserve (CMR) requires other miners not to obstruct the construction, operation, or maintenance of the MTT, and Seabridge does not claim mineral rights within Tudor's Treaty Creek Project.

Tudor's appeal seeks a court decision that the CMR does not apply to it, after the CGC previously concluded she lacked jurisdiction to make such a decision. The CMR remains in place during the appeal process, and Seabridge expressed confidence that the court will dismiss Tudor's appeal.
