SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. announced that its portfolio of PV inverters has achieved early certification and compliance with the European Commission’s New Radio Equipment Directive (RED) Article 3.3 requirements for cybersecurity. These requirements are expected to come into effect in August 2025 and establish a new regulatory framework for IoT products sold in Europe. The company's inverters also comply with the UK’s Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) regulation, which came into effect in April 2024. This dual compliance positions SolarEdge's products favorably in key European markets by addressing critical safety and data protection concerns. This early certification is significant as it helps safeguard future energy security and ensures homeowners, businesses, and grid operators can adopt solar technology with robust cyber defenses. It also provides a competitive advantage by meeting stringent regulatory standards ahead of schedule.
