Sono Group N.V.'s subsidiary, Sono Motors GmbH, announced it has become the first company in Germany to receive National Type Approval (Teiletypgenehmigung, TTG) for vehicle-integrated photovoltaics (ViPV). This certification was specifically granted for its Solar Bus Kit. The National Type Approval, achieved after extensive testing with the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) and TÜV, confirms that the Solar Bus Kit meets all EU safety, environmental, and conformity of production requirements. This simplifies approval processes for customers, eliminating the need for individual certifications. This regulatory milestone is expected to set a precedent for the approval of Sono's ViPV solutions across Europe and other regions adhering to ECE standards. It solidifies the company's market leadership and unlocks significant growth opportunities by streamlining road approval in these markets.
