Shoals Technologies Group, Inc. has secured a contract with CJR Renewables to supply its Big Lead Assembly (BLA) for the 110 MW Alcones project in Marchigüe, Chile. This marks Shoals' strategic expansion into the South American market.
The Alcones project will be the first in Chile to utilize Shoals' BLA system, which is designed to accelerate installation, reduce the need for skilled labor, and enhance long-term system reliability and energy yield. CJR Renewables is a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm with 1.6 GW of global solar installations.
This partnership supports Shoals' strategic goal of expanding into attractive new international markets. Once operational, the Alcones project is expected to generate enough electricity to power over 86,000 households and avoid more than 62,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.
