SkyWater Technology completed its acquisition of Infineon Technologies AG’s 200 mm semiconductor fab in Austin, Texas, known as Fab 25. This transaction adds approximately 400,000 wafer starts per year in capacity. The acquisition was financed through a new five-year, senior secured revolving credit facility of up to $350 million, replacing the company’s existing $130 million facility. The total draw on the new facility at closing was $137 million, with $103 million funding the upfront cash consideration and closing costs. The transaction converts captive capacity into open-access infrastructure, expanding domestic manufacturing for foundational semiconductor technologies. It includes a long-term supply agreement with Infineon and approximately 1,000 Fab 25 employees joining SkyWater.
