SLB Canada has entered into a distribution partnership with Motif Valve & Supply, a 100 % Métis‑owned Canadian company, to distribute its full range of valve products across British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. The deal positions Motif as a full‑service pipe, valve and fitting provider for major energy, infrastructure and industrial projects in the region, giving SLB a trusted local channel to reach new customers and accelerate sales.

The partnership is a key element of SLB’s broader diversification strategy, which seeks to shift from traditional oilfield services toward higher‑margin, less cyclical businesses such as digital solutions and production‑optimization technologies. By leveraging Motif’s established network and customer base, SLB can improve service delivery and capture a larger share of the Canadian market, a critical component of its North American footprint.

Motif’s portfolio includes the distribution of several Cameron valve brands—WKM, GROVE, NUTRON, T30, ORBIT and DEMCO—allowing SLB to offer a comprehensive product line to its clients. The partnership also supports SLB’s recent acquisition of ChampionX, reinforcing its position in the production and recovery segment and enhancing its ability to deliver integrated solutions to customers.

CEO Olivier Le Peuch highlighted the strategic fit of the partnership, noting that “our performance‑focused strategy, combined with our differentiated market positioning and digital capabilities, will drive profitable growth and further margin expansion.” He added that the collaboration with an Indigenous‑owned partner underscores SLB’s commitment to Indigenous engagement and economic participation in Canada.

The deal strengthens SLB’s presence in a strategically important market, positioning the company to benefit from growing demand for digital and production‑optimization solutions in the Canadian energy sector while reinforcing its commitment to responsible and inclusive growth.
