SmartRent, Inc. announced the appointment of Thomas “Tom” Bohjalian to its Board of Directors, where he will serve as a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees. Bohjalian brings over 30 years of experience in the real estate and multifamily housing industry, along with public company governance expertise.
He currently serves as the board chair of Healthcare Realty Trust, Incorporated and was previously on the board of directors for Apartment Income REIT Corporation. His extensive background in finance includes nearly two decades at Cohen & Steers, Inc., where he was Executive Vice President and Head of U.S. Real Estate.
Frank Martell, SmartRent’s President and CEO, stated that Bohjalian’s deep expertise in real estate and finance makes him well-equipped to provide strategic oversight. This appointment is expected to help SmartRent meet the diverse needs of its customers and enhance its strategic planning.
