S&P Global Announces Board Leadership Transition: Ian Livingston to Succeed Richard Thornburgh as Nonexecutive Chairman

S&P Global announced on March 25, 2025, significant changes to its Board of Directors, including the retirement of Nonexecutive Chairman Richard Thornburgh. Thornburgh, who joined the board in 2011 and served as chairman since 2020, will step down when his current term concludes at the annual shareholder meeting on May 7.

Ian Livingston, a current board member since 2020, has been appointed to succeed Mr. Thornburgh as Nonexecutive Chairman. Livingston brings extensive leadership experience, having served as chief executive of BT Group from 2008 to 2013 and as the U.K.'s minister for trade and investment from 2013 to 2015.

Additionally, Gay Huey Evans and Robert Kelly, who both joined the board in 2022, also plan to retire from the board and will not seek re-election at the upcoming annual meeting. These changes mark a notable transition in the company's governance structure.
