SIMPPLE Ltd. announced on November 22, 2024, the completion of the sale and successful deployment of 89 autonomous cleaning robots across Singapore. This deployment, in partnership with rail operator SMRT Trains, marks the largest robotic fleet in the land transport sector.
The robots are deployed across three major train lines of Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system, utilizing advanced sensors and artificial intelligence for precise navigation and thorough cleaning. This initiative aligns with the broader Singapore Government push for greater automation and digital transformation.
These autonomous cleaning robots clean a defined area three times faster than human workers, freeing up staff for more complex tasks. SMRT Trains has observed a cleaner environment and a more productive workforce, leading to its recognition as the Organisation (Public Sector) of the Year at the Let’s Observe Ourselves (LOO) Award Ceremony on November 19.
