Spirit AeroSystems entered into a third amended and restated memorandum of agreement with Airbus S.A.S. on July 11, 2025. Under this agreement, Airbus S.A.S. committed to provide an additional $94 million support package.
This new funding brings the total financial support from Airbus to $152 million, which is designated solely for Airbus programs. The support package comes in the form of advance payments for aircraft parts.
The terms of the agreement stipulate that any assets purchased with this financial support will be directly or indirectly assumed by Airbus S.A.S. or one of its affiliates upon the closing of the stock and asset purchase agreement between Spirit and Airbus SE.
