SouthState announced a substantial expansion of its experienced banking roster with a large group of new hires and key promotions across nine states. Among the promotions, David Kirkpatrick was named managing director of Private Wealth and SouthState Advisory, and Jason Ware became head of municipal underwriting for SouthState|DuncanWilliams. Additionally, Trent Drafts was promoted to Charleston commercial market executive and Scott Ferguson to Greenville commercial market executive in South Carolina. The bank welcomed new regional presidents, including Steve Stagg in Tampa, Florida, and Blake Freeman in Huntsville, Alabama, both bringing extensive banking experience.
