ArcelorMittal, a leading steel manufacturer, announced on December 16, 2024, its expanded use of 3D printing by adopting the Stratasys F370® 3D printer within its research center in Maizières-lès-Metz. This integration transforms the tooling and prototyping aspects of its manufacturing processes.

The Stratasys F370® printer and GrabCAD Print software enable ArcelorMittal Maizières-lès-Metz to create complex tooling, jigs, fixtures, and functional prototypes, achieving significant reductions in lead times and enhanced design flexibility. These benefits were previously unattainable with traditional machining methods.

A single 3D-print validation run for a prototype can cost less than 200 Euros, a substantial saving compared to nearly 2,000 Euros per part using traditional methods. This demonstrates the significant cost efficiency and agility that Stratasys' additive manufacturing solutions bring to industrial customers.
